QuickBooks Proposals
A 0→1 proposal workflow that brought quote-to-cash inside QuickBooks — driving 5× client acceptance vs. Estimates, 33% more Payments activation, and ~$600/year in ecosystem revenue per adopter.
Problem: Service businesses were managing quotes and proposals in Word, Docs, and PDFs — tools outside QuickBooks, losing the full quote-to-cash loop.
My role: Sole design lead, end-to-end — proposal creation, builder UX, send flow, the C2 client portal (view → accept → sign → pay), and the Proposals ↔ Estimates lifecycle contract. Co-led the new QuickBooks builder pattern with Mailchimp design.
Constraints: ~7 weeks to design end-to-end for a November code-complete. New object integrating with a legacy form (Estimates) owned by a separate team. HTML e-sign on a platform built around PDFs.
Outcome: 5× client acceptance vs. Estimates. ~$600/year ecosystem revenue per adopter. 33% lift in Payments activation. Builder pattern adopted for future QBO builders.
